AST 101 - Introduction to Astronomy 3 Credit(s)
An introduction to the field of Astronomy, this course starts with an understanding of the universe in general terms and narrows the discussion to our galaxy and solar system. Topics include the galaxies, stars, planets, comets, asteroids, black holes and the universe as a whole. This course examines the ideas covering the birth, life and death of stars, planetary formation and environments, and also the ideas about the origin, structure and possible future of the universe.
